Westville United Methodist Church
Welcomes you in the name Of Jesus Christ!
The Westville Methodist Church is a pioneer church. It is an historical fact that Methodism moved into this area that later became LaPorte County with the very first settlers that arrrived here on March 15th, 1829, and located on land that became the site of Westville years later.
The present Methodist Church was built in 1867 and 1868. Daniel West, a fine Christian and public-spirited citizen, bequeathed $5000 to the church; and by the subscription of friends, in addition, the building was made possible. Caleb Mock was the pastor from the fall of 1866 to the Sept. 1868
The Church has been newly decorated and many splendid gifts from members add beauty to the interior. We now have a restful meeting place, our Father's house of Prayer, filled with memories of the fine ministers who have served us down through the years.
